Diversity is a fact. Equity is a choice. Inclusion is an action.
Belonging is an outcome.
Arthur Chan
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are interconnected concepts that thrive when they work together.
Various dimensions of diversity, including gender, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, physical and mental abilities, and religious beliefs contribute to the formation of unique, individual identities.
You can foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion, only when you:
- Ensure that all three elements, namely diversity, equity, and inclusion, are present collectively.
- Promote that individuals and their identities are defined by an interplay of multiple dimensions.
